Christopher O’Brien (he/him)

Executive Director

Christopher O’Brien is the Executive Director of Samaritan Counseling Center Hawaii. He previously served as Executive Director of Hoahu Energy Cooperative Molokai and Director of Finance and Development at Sustainable Molokai. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from UH Manoa, a Juris Doctor from the William S. Richardson School of Law, a Master’s in Accounting from Shidler College of Business, and is currently pursuing his Executive MBA at Shidler. Throughout his career, he has successfully raised and managed approximately $15 million from federal, county, private foundation, corporate, and individual sources. Christopher has extensive professional experience in diverse sectors including Food Security, Energy Security, Renewable Energy, Conservation, Natural Resource Management, Community Development, and Nonprofit Management both through his previous employment and through his Nonprofit Financial Management, Fundraising, and Consulting practice. He brings valuable expertise in community development, strategy, compliance, financial oversight, grant writing/management, and fundraising—has served on numerous nonprofit boards as well as donated his professional services to numerous nonprofits.

Diana Honeker (she/her)

Clinical Director, LMFT

Diana Honeker is Clinical Director at Samaritan Counseling Center Hawaii, managing the organization’s clinical staff and supervision. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, working with individuals, couples, and families to help them through life’s difficulties and transitions. Prior to joining SCCH in 2018, she was a family/play therapist with the Salvation Army in Honolulu; a counseling volunteer at the Chaplain Family Life Center at Schofield Barracks; and a hospice volunteer at the Tripler Army Hospital, Center for Aging. Diana received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and French from the University of Maryland; and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University.
